You Know It’s Wet When…
… you find one of these in a corn field.
I was walking through knee high corn and found it sliding across the ground. At first I thought it was a slug but it was moving much too fast. If you haven’t guessed by now, it’s a leech. In 20 years of walking fields this is the first one I have ever found.
